Every client is unique; we therefore begin by helping each client define their investment objectives and important constraints. We accomplish this by going through a complete analysis of the client’s financial situation, asking questions, and listening - long before we ever discuss what portfolio changes might be necessary. This process helps us devise specific strategies for each client and is dynamic over the life of the relationship. As client needs evolve, we make portfolio adjustments to match the changing client circumstances. Additionally, every client has a written and signed Investment Policy Statement that is reviewed annually and specifies the investment objective, risk tolerance, required cash flows, asset allocation, and any items unique to their situation.

While the policy statement is a critical form a communication between Bluemont and the client, nothing can substitute for regular, direct communication. Thus, all clients can expect to meet directly with us at least annually and can speak with any one of us whenever they have questions.
